Letters Policy

Eligibility

Letters to the Editor are accepted from active Bavarian Brainrot premium subscribers only. Submission is via the form at /letters/ and requires you to be signed in to your subscriber account.

Length

Letters should be between 30 and 280 words. Longer letters will be returned to the writer for editing.

Substance

Letters should respond to a specific Bavarian Brainrot article, address a matter of Helen-area civic concern, or comment on the operational decisions of a local government body. Letters about the editorial direction of this publication are welcome and will be considered.

Editing

Letters are edited for length and clarity by Edmund Crowe, the Editorial Page Editor. Edits do not change the substance of the letter. The writer retains the right to withdraw the letter at any time before publication.

Sign-off

Letters require a sign-off in the form “Your Name, Town, GA.” Anonymous letters are accepted at the Editor’s discretion in cases where publication of the writer’s name could reasonably be expected to produce harm.

Frequency

The same writer may not have more than one letter published in any consecutive three-month period.

Publication

Approved letters are published in the monthly Letters to the Editor compilation, which appears on the first Tuesday of each month at /letters/.
