Kaitlyn Reese-Brockman covers tourism, lodging, and the hospitality sector for Bavarian Brainrot. She arrived in Helen in February 2026 after five years in Brooklyn, where she ran the modestly read but acutely written Substack The Itinerary, and is currently writing a book about “the interior life of a souvenir.”
Kaitlyn graduated from Sarah Lawrence College in 2019 with a B.A. in Comparative Literature and a minor in something she politely declines to name. Her reporting tends toward the ethnographic. She is the only member of the Bavarian Brainrot staff who consistently identifies wines by their varietal at press events, which has not endeared her to the rest of the newsroom.
She believes Helen is the most interesting town in America — a position she holds with the sincerity of the recently arrived — and considers the single-night stay at the Heidi Motel a generative cultural experience that every American should be required to undergo at least once.
