Edmund Crowe edits the editorial page at Bavarian Brainrot. He spent thirteen years on the editorial board of The Atlanta Constitution before departing in 1994 to take the editorship of the Helen Sentinel, where he remained for thirty years until the paper’s closure in late 2025. He joined Bavarian Brainrot at its founding the following month.
Edmund holds an A.B. in English from Sewanee (1976), where he was the editor of the Sewanee Purple. He is the only working editor in Helen who can remember when there was, in fact, a working glockenspiel on the corner of Main and Bruckenstrasse.
His section runs editorials, the Bavarian Brainrot Editorial Board’s endorsements, the recurring contributors (Gunter the Pretzel Vendor, Brenda of Florida, Chad the Tubing Guide, Agnes of the Christmas Shoppe, the Cabbage Patch Doll currently calling itself Cornelius), and the Letters to the Editor monthly compilation. He prefers letters that are short.
